MAPS College was founded in 1999, with the aim of providing high-quality and affordable education to the Maldives. Throughout the years, MAPS College, and later MAPS International High, have implemented various innovations and programs to develop students, with the purpose of improving the quality of the education landscape.
As a part of the organisation’s student development and branding activities, MAPS has decided to select Brand Ambassadors to represent both MAPS College and MAPS International High. The Brand Ambassadors will represent both Institutes and work to convey the values of MAPS to the general public.
The opportunity was opened for all students currently studying at MAPS College and MAPS International High to apply to become Brand Ambassadors earlier this year. Fifteen students from both institutes applied to participate in the scheme. Applicants took part in pre-selection presentations, evaluated by a judging panel appointed by ICS Maldives including the Acting Deputy Rector of MAPS College and the Sales and Marketing team of ICS Maldives. ICS carried out the entire process of selection and individual presentations for the Brand Ambassador and the following 6 finalists were chosen:
Aminath Shara Ayoob from MAPS International High,
Hassan Farhan Mohamed from MAPS College,
Eman Ibrahim from MAPS College,
Aishath Gahir from MAPS College,
Madhih Mohamed from MAPS College,
and Ibrahim Liraar Hussain Mohamed from MAPS College.
We hope this programme, which is the first of its kind in Maldives, will provide our students with another avenue to display their skills and talents, and provide a further opportunity to communicate the values and opportunities available at MAPS College and MAPS International High to the general public through a new, innovative medium.
